Events badges are one of our most popular products at Dash Dynamics, ordered by motoring clubs, social groups, charities, sports societies and trade organisations across the UK. Whether you need a handful for a one off rally or several thousand for an annual show, every batch of events badges is resin domed to a consistent, professional finish using precision UK manufactured equipment.
Resin Domed Events Badges Built to Last
Our events badges are resin domed onto self adhesive vinyl rather than paper, so the colours stay sharp and the surface stays glossy and scratch resistant for years. We use Metamark vinyls and computer controlled precision twin gear pumps to apply the resin, removing the guesswork that comes with manually squeezed syringe systems. The result is consistency across every batch of events badges, which matters when you need to reorder the same design in future.
Custom Events Badges for Clubs and Organisations
We can produce events badges from artwork you supply or create a new design from scratch. Vector files such as .ai, .cdl or .eps give the cleanest results, though .jpeg and .pdf files can also be used. Let us know the exact height and width required for your events badges and we will check your artwork against that size before production starts.
For complex shapes, a quick call helps us confirm the best cutline and bleed for your events badges. Highly detailed artwork may need simplifying slightly so it stays sharp once reduced to badge size.
Ordering Events Badges in Any Quantity
Dash Dynamics produces events badges from single samples through to runs of several thousand, so clubs of any size can order what they need. Production takes a minimum of 24 hours once a design is approved, and we are happy to send free samples ahead of larger production runs.
Once your events badges are approved for production, UK orders are typically dispatched within 24 hours of completion, with international orders usually arriving within 3 to 5 business days and full customs documentation included.
Why Choose Dash Dynamics for Your Badges
With over 25 years of experience, we have worked with clubs, design houses and prototype projects throughout the UK, always under strict confidentiality where it is needed. Every stage of production, from printing through to final dispatch, is checked so your events badges meet the standard you expect.

Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes and quantities are available for events badges?
Events badges can be produced from single samples up to runs of several thousand, in any size you specify. Just provide the height and width you need and we will check this against your artwork before production begins.
When will my shipment arrive?
Once your events badges are ready, dispatch is quick and straightforward wherever you are based.
UK shipments
UK shipments are sent using Royal Mail for parcels up to 2kg, or Parcelforce and UPS for anything heavier. Most orders arrive within 24 hours of dispatch, though this does not include production time, which is a minimum of 24 hours for domed products once your design has been approved.
Royal Mail First Class and UPS or Parcelforce services are quoted as 1 to 3 days, and next day delivery is only an indication of their normal service rather than a guarantee. We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by a carrier running slower than usual.
Smaller orders are sent by standard Royal Mail, while larger orders go out via a recorded delivery service. A guaranteed next day option is available on all orders, although this is not always achieved by the carrier. Please note that products are not shipped until full payment has cleared in our bank account.
International shipments
International orders are sent using Royal Mail for parcels up to 2kg, or ParcelForce Worldwide or an independent carrier for anything heavier. Your events badges usually arrive within 3 to 5 business days, again not including the minimum 24 hour production time for domed products.
We can ship via your preferred carrier on request, and pricing varies depending on the destination. Full customs documentation is provided with every international shipment, although occasional errors by customs authorities are outside our control.
We are currently unable to charge VAT on international purchases. VAT is payable on import at your national rate, and your products will be released once any VAT due has been paid. If you hold a VAT deferment account, let us know so we can advise the shipping company and help your order pass through customs smoothly.
EU countries
All Dash Dynamics products are made using UK sourced materials, so they qualify for preferential origin with zero import duty within the EU. Only your local VAT applies. If you have an EORI number, please provide it so VAT can be claimed correctly, and we will include this in your shipping documentation.
Rest of the world
Import duty is controlled by your local customs system and is usually based on the value and origin of the goods. We provide a full invoice without UK VAT applied, and ask that you supply your EORI number and any VAT deferment details where relevant. Paying any customs duty and local VAT remains your responsibility before goods can clear customs. Most rest of world deliveries are sent by air to keep transit times as short as possible, although delays caused by carriers or local customs are outside our control.
Do you make number plates?
Dash Dynamics does not supply complete number plates to the general public. We are a wholesale supplier of number plate components to DVLA registered Approved Number Plate Suppliers only.
Although we are registered with the DVLA to supply complete plates directly to the public, we have chosen not to do so. This sets us apart from most suppliers in this market, as we do not want to compete with the businesses we supply.
Do you accept PayPal?
We do not sell events badges or any other products through eBay, so we do not accept PayPal. Dash Dynamics supplies only the highest quality products, and we feel eBay does not reflect the standards we work to.
Can you do custom designs of my graphics?
Yes. We can produce events badges from any graphics you supply and will advise on any changes needed to achieve a successful domed result and the most suitable materials for your application.
You can upload artwork up to 64mb directly through our enquiry form along with your details, and we will get back to you. For files larger than this, email us at info@dashdynamics.co.uk or send them via a service such as WeTransfer.
Vector files such as .ai, .cdl or .eps are preferred, as these are easiest to adjust if changes are needed. We can also work with .jpeg or .pdf files, though these limit our ability to fine tune the artwork for the best possible finish.
Sending a photo and asking us to turn it into a badge rarely produces a good result, and may involve significant artwork costs if the design has to be redrawn from scratch. We can cut an image from a photo, but the outcome is often poor and not the shape you actually wanted, since photos are usually taken at an angle.
It is always best to give us the exact height and width you need, so your events badges are made to the exact size you require. If your artwork does not match that ratio, we will let you know and send back a modified version for your approval. Please also allow a small bleed beyond your cutline, and tell us the contrasting colour you would like used for the cutline, ideally as a CMYK code.
We can resin dome complex shapes, though it is best to call us after sending your artwork so we can advise on any modifications needed. If your design is highly detailed, it may need simplifying slightly so it still looks sharp once reduced to production size.
We produce badges from single items up to many thousands per order. If we need to spend time adjusting your artwork, we will let you know of any costs involved beforehand, and may ask for pre-payment on artwork for new customers.
How do you produce consistent results?
We work with the very best suppliers, using Metamark vinyls wherever possible for substrates that never vary in quality.
Unlike many resin domed badge manufacturers, we do not use syringe applied resin, which relies on a person manually squeezing out roughly the right amount. Even computer controlled syringe systems, which typically use a pair of 300ml cartridges, can be imprecise, since a large cartridge surface area means only a small piston movement is needed to change the dose.
Instead, we use computer controlled precision twin gear pumps, where each tooth of the pump represents an accurate, repeatable volume. We run three of these machines, two of which are new, custom built and UK manufactured to our own exacting standards.
Every stage of production is checked, from printing through to final dispatch. We only resin dome onto self adhesive vinyl, never onto paper, as paper can allow inks to bleed if they get wet. For larger orders, we are happy to send free samples ahead of production, so every batch of events badges matches the last, even on repeat orders months or years apart.
Do you place any restrictions on artwork designs?
We produce strictly to customer specifications. It is your responsibility to obtain approval for any design that may be copyrighted, and by placing an order you confirm that any necessary approvals have already been gained. In some cases we may ask for proof of this.
Do you work with prototypes and design houses?
Yes. Over our 25 years in business we have worked with many high profile companies and design houses on prototype projects, including events badges and other resin domed products, almost always under signed non-disclosure agreements for their peace of mind. We never share information with third parties.
We are always pleased to support a project into full production, with competitive volume rates, but we understand if you choose a different manufacturer at that stage. Our production rates are calculated carefully to cover materials and operating costs while keeping the business viable, and we will let you know in advance if any of these factors change before future orders.
Can you create artwork from scratch?
Yes. We are happy to discuss your ideas and design events badges artwork from scratch, which we then send to you for comment. Artwork time can be expensive relative to small order values, though our rates remain among the lowest in the industry, and we will confirm any costs before starting work.
Do you resin dome production for other companies?
Yes. Resin doming is a precise process with many variables, as anyone who has tried it will know. We offer a resin doming service to printing companies and are happy to dome production sent to us.
It is best to contact us before sending production over, so we can advise on the best way to print and lay out your work to suit our systems. Alternatively, you can send us your artwork and we will handle printing and doming together, saving on shipping in both directions.
We never approach your customers directly, as doing so would end our working relationship with you. We operate as an ethical company and intend to keep it that way.
Do Dash Dynamics number plate digits comply with BS AU 145e?
Yes. We have submitted to and passed independent testing against the BS AU 145e standard, with results available on request to any DVLA registered number plate supplier.
While self-certification is permitted in the UK, many companies rely on this alone without independent testing. Our testing was carried out by a respected, independent UK company using the required equipment and methods, with passes in every category. This makes us the first UK company able to confirm compliance for both Acrylic (4D) and Gel (3D) digits.
Our acrylic digits are made from genuine Perspex using the highest standard adhesives available. Having produced Gel digits for nearly 20 years, we learned early on what materials and methods deliver the highest standards.
What are the requirements for a compliant UK number plate?
The DVLA’s INF104 guidance sets out the rules for constructing and displaying number plates in the UK, including the requirement that all components meet the BS AU 145e standard.
The only permitted colours are black digits on a white or yellow background, or black, white and silver for older plates, shown in the Charles Wright font at specific sizes for cars and motorcycles. The guidance also covers plate layout, sizing and dimensions.
Some suppliers offer alternative finishes, such as carbon, highline, glitter, shadow effects or coloured edges, or coloured acrylic digits where black is required. These do not meet the regulations, and the DVLA treats anything resembling a number plate used on the public road as a number plate regardless of its finish. Driving with a non-compliant plate can result in a fine and the loss of your registration number.
We still produce these alternative styles to special order, on the understanding that they are for off road or display use only, separate from our standard, compliant digits which are held in stock.
The Republic of Ireland has its own standard, also based on black digits but with different dimensions and stroke widths. We supply digits and jigs designed specifically to these Irish requirements, created from scratch to an accuracy of 0.01mm. All of our designs are protected, and we take action against any company found copying them.
What hours can I contact you between?
We are open from 08:00 to 16:00 UK time, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Outside these hours, please leave us an email and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
