Number Plate Jigs Regulations

Current Number Plate Regulations

Here at Dash Dynamics, we constantly review the regulations each market sets to make sure we will not only offer the best for our clients but also always keep compliant with the constant renewal of regulations, whether it is for our number plate jig systems or our number plate digits.

United Kingdom Regulations

In the case of the UK, there are three sets of rules we work to:

BS AU145e -Covers the materials required to produce compliant products

INF104  - Covers buying complete plates and how these plates must be laid out.

INF291 - Covers the new rules for Trailers being used outside the UK.

The BS AU145e is a huge document and lays out each test that products must meet or exceed to become compliant. Dash Dynamics Digits are all produced to meet these standards and have been independently tested to ensure they are correct. Our test results are all available on request to dealers only.

As we produce all our products, including our number plate jigs to meet these standards, which are currently the highest in the world, you can be assured you are only buying the very best products which will provide perfect results each time.

Republic Of Ireland Regulations

In the Republic of Ireland, the standards are laid out in S.I.No. 287/1990 (Regulations and Licensing)(Amendment) Regulations, 1990. This covers the layout of the plates. For the Isle of Man, Jersey, and Guernsey, the rules are different, however, our products already meet the parameters laid out by their various authorities.

We already produce Gel End badges for each of these areas and we are happy to work with suppliers of plates in each principality. Other suppliers may offer digit designs, which are very wide of any laid-out rules and regulations, such as digits with glitter edges.

We strongly advise all Plate Producers to steer well clear of such products as they generally make authorities create very tough rules for Plate Makers to meet, as happened in the UK.

Other Countries Regulations

Dash Dynamics is always happy to work in new markets and countries, so should you feel our products are suited to your market, please feel free to contact us. We will do our best to provide products which meet your requirements.

We only work with countrywide distributors in these circumstances and require a MOQ to move forward. We may also ask for a design fee to be paid before starting the project due to development costs.

Purchasing in International markets requires payment in full prior to shipping, and these include any shipping/customs charges according to how you wish your items to be sent. Due to local unrest, Dash Dynamics will not be held liable for any issues in shipping to some markets.
